Fun Friday Find: Out with the Old OR Bring In New!!

The featured color (purple) for February was indeed my favorite and next week I will go into detail about the color for March but right now I'm loving the combination of both. What a great way to end February and start March than with this cool combination.

I truly love this combination because it is so stunning to the eye.  It reminds me of a tropical paradise; a color palette that blends the traditional (deep purple) with contemporary (aqua). 

Whether you are poolside, having an outside soiree, or at a local indoor venue; this combination is cool, hip, elegant and stunning. When planning, consider purple and aqua up-lighting with modular white furniture, a signature cocktail in either color and hanging paper lanterns for a perfect atmosphere.

 

There would be a lot of options for flowers but I think that Hydrangeas would be the most sensible. You can find the blue/purple and cream hues in them already. Of course, there are other flowers, such as delphinium and roses that could work too!

My all time favorite color to discuss is the zodiac stone for the constellation of Pisces.  Spirituality, wisdom, sobriety and security; the color of royalty!  What is the Color/Birthstone for February? PURPLE (Amethyst)!

The American Gem Stone Society states "the gemstone believed by ancient Greeks and Romans to ward off the intoxicating powers of Bacchus, also is said to keep the wearer clear-head and quick-witted."  A PURPLE beauty blended of violet and red that can easily be found in every corner of the earth.

Raise Your Glasses - It's MY Birthday

It's no secret that I plan events - I celebrate the happy times of other people.  Well, in 1964 Dorothy and Luther Dillard received the greatest gift they could have imagined (that year) in a baby girl they decided to call Sharon Yvette!!!!!  Over these past 48 .. YES 48yrs, I have lost some battles and won more :)  When I say I am GRATEFUL... O...M...G.. I am grateful beyond words. 

Although Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, if I were to have a party today - here are a few things that I'd try and make happen  in my favorite color....

That's a lavender martini!

I like this tablescape.  I would certainly have a lot of candles!

Cake.... that is all!

I don't know what I'd have on my body BUT I do know what I'd have on my feet!!!
